While I was working through my depression with the therapist Agnese Orupe, she suggested to me to visualise my inner critics in the form of crows. Each of the crows has its own task – to censure, to criticise, to ask for more, to disappoint, and so on. The tasks are determined by our life experience to date. As we learn more about ourselves, we learn to separate the crows both from ourselves and from what is hidden behind their painful pecks and loud caws. We can also learn to leave them "behind the door" and even shoot them. Some of them we need in order to move on.

What would a monologue inside a person's head look like in visual form? It wouldn’t include only "themselves"; it would also include their relatives, friends, acquaintances, lovers and all of them again, only "ex". This motley company creates voices that don't really belong to people but to the crows. This is a story about my crows.

Medium: virtual reality, physical installation.
