Project prototype was created during Riga IFF Goes VR Magnetic Latvia 24h Hackathon and got awarded with DELFI CAMPUS AWARD. Project was noticed by Žanis Lipke memorial, and is currently developed and redesigned by hackathon team (I. Vīksne, L. Vēliņa, K. Lēvalds, L. Taube) for the museum exposition.
About the project: Political changes that occured in a span of one year, in one living room, through a child's perspective. Empathetic virtual reality experience that tells about significant events in the history of Latvia in 1941 trough child's point of view. The team developed prototype in hackathon from an idea to a working VR experience. We used environmental storytelling, soundscapes and historically accurate changes in daily lives to introduce the audience in a subtle way to very dramatic developments.
